Everyone enjoys the warmth of the traditional tiled stove as we make ourselves comfortable on the corner bench at the time-honored wooden table. The parlor has been the centerpiece of every farm since the 13th century. In the foothills of the Alps, it is linked to a carpentry tradition that goes back a long way. Even before the industrial era, master craftsmen were already processing the fir and spruce wood from our local forests – and using it to create simple, high-quality wall paneling.

Eham is proud to contribute to this long tradition. If we come across old parlor rooms during research projects, we carefully expose the beauty we have discovered – so the history of age-old beams and panelling can be felt and experienced.

This is how we breathe new life into classic pine and farmhouse parlors – authentically restored down to the last detail. From the old masterly planed wood profile to the venerable Herrgottswinkel. The original inventory is reassembled and complemented in a meaningful way – tailored to our customers‘ room architecture.

To uphold tradition, you have to continue it. To do this, we also design parlors that connect the original to the present. Subtly suspended, a historic coffered ceiling almost looks like it is floating. This creates a grandiose spatial feeling. A narrow line of felt between the wooden panels provides a tactile contrast.
