ZUH Construction Progress in Summer

Modern Elegance Amidst Nature

Now that our Zuhaus stands in all its glory and the windows have found their place, the focus turns to the interior. Our interior designers are working tirelessly on creating a modern office nestled in a green environment. The interior is simple: ash floors, custom-built furniture made of fir and metal. Special accents are set by acoustic curtains, green plants, and chalk blue details.

The Principle of Merging

On the upper floor, two cubic elements blend into a unified overall concept. A massive wooden cube made of fir frames the elevator shaft and is covered by a protective metal shell. This construction emphasizes the vertical lines and is surrounded by ceiling-high cabinets with narrow fronts. The design is straightforward and geometric, featuring L-shaped wooden blocks.

Metal as a Contrasting Material

Metal provides a cool contrast to the warm wood tones of the fir. Together with a local craftsman who specializes in metalworking, we explored the possibilities of a computer-controlled bending machine. The result is precise and dimensionally accurate furniture made from thin, matte stainless steel. The challenge was to shape and construct with the material. With this technique, we create a flawless look that appears seamless, adding striking accents. An innovation is the integration of specially designed corner dowel joints.

The Overall Concept

The interior concept of our home focuses on the harmonious connection between nature and design. Green plants and shades of gray are combined with clear, solid surfaces to create a calming and balanced environment. The west facade serves as a large window that offers a wide view of the green outside world, bringing nature inside. Acoustic ceilings made of solid fir and curtains made from sound-absorbing fleece with a subtle blue gradient contribute to a pleasant and quiet atmosphere. Light fir wood and matte stainless steel form the foundation of the design, creating a simple yet elegant base. Our interior designers have carefully selected and coordinated the materials to create a deliberately restrained design that allows the interior to recede into the background. This gives us the freedom to develop creative and diverse projects in these spaces in the future.

We look forward to realizing innovative space concepts in this environment and shaping the future together as a team.
