Surrounded by the panorama of the Kitzbühel Alps, a modern house with regionalmaterial awareness and a holistic design approach is being created. In this project weaccompany the owner of the house from the first design plans to the final keydelivery. The construction project has not yet been completed. But we are alreadytaking a look at the building today–and to do so, we are heading to the wine cellar.
The wine collection can already be seen on the stairs. The purposeful design of the roomprovides ideal climatic conditions for the long-term storage of fine wines. Ceiling and wallcladding made of dark larch wood from the region place the focus on the light stone. Theformally reduced wine rack impresses with its seamless, geometric clarity. A smoothtransition is created between the floor and the shelf, because both are made from thesame natural stone. With its haptic quality and fine texture, the shell limestone fromKrensheim provides a special type of material. Our long-standing partner Alfons Baumannextracts the stone from the immediate vicinity of the company headquarters in BadenWuerttemberg, where it is processed with skill and devotion. Here, sophisticatedstonemasonry craftsmanship and short transport routes go hand in hand. Sustainablequality is only achieved in cooperation with the right partners. Let’s drink to that!
